D.M.O.Z

DMOZ is an Netscape project also known as Open Directory Project, which has a quite importance for web crawlers. As, Mr. Cobanli said in his blog "
Inclusion in DMOZ.org is hard and is in most of the cases a one time chance, DMOZ.org is really important as most search engines give alot importance to sites included in dmoz; indeed it is primary source of relevant information for all the search engines. In the picture above, you can see that (Green Lines), meaning supply of information." It is constructed and maintained by a community of volunteer editors. One of the original motivations for forming Gnuhoo/Newhoo/ODP was the frustration that many people experienced in getting their sites listed on Yahoo! Directory. However Yahoo! has since implemented a paid service for timely consideration of site submissions. That lead has been followed by many other directories. Some accept no free submission at all. By contrast the ODP has maintained its policy of free site submissions for all types of site — the only one of the major general directories to do so. Check the folowing links to go in further detail, but never forget if you are a commercial web site and want to be ranked higher in search engines you have to be in DMOZ somehow.

Google Friend Connect - Facebook Connect

Today, I checked in detail how  to include Google Friend Connect and Facebook Connect into a website and saw how it is easy to plug such strong features inside any web site. I think, for any commercial web site both must be included. For details check the following web sites:

BlogSpot is on again!

It was just a few minutes ago that I was on facebook checking what's up with my frineds' lives that I realized I can watch videos from Youtube. Then I checked if the blogspot is available again and here it is.

It is really a funny story going around in Turkiye about blocking the websites like Youtube, Blogspot, GEocities and so on.

Any way, I hope this is a temporary situation for the country and the laws for the internet will evolve rapidly in order to adopt the rules of Web 2.0.

Enjoy!

3 people far from anybody

Nowadays anybody just needs 3 people to reach to some random body on the world, it was 6 in 1970s :0

I think in few years everybody will know somehow everybody and will realize that in fact nobody knows noone even themselves so they will just shut down their computers and go for a walk trying to answer what went wrong :)

Check the link, quite interesting:

Chrome 2 Android

Now it is possible to download Google's new browser Chrome.

The only drawback of this new web browser it does not have any plugins yet life Firebug or Ubuquity which are quite strong tools over Firefox.

Nevertheless it is for sure they will be there very soon.

What is more with this chrome is Google now is ready to set for taking Chrome to Android machines as the news told in detail in the following link:

I think the people should get handy with this new browser.
